This fascinating vintage 1939 hardcover first edition of Moment in Peking by Lin Yutang is a novel covering turbulent events in China including the Boxer Rebellion, the Republican Revolution, the rise of Communism and the start of the Sino-Japanese war. The book is in used condition with the dust jacket missing, and some wear and small tears to the edges of the cloth cover, along with several spots of discoloration. There are two owner's names written inside the front cover and some discoloration to the front and back end pages along with some cracking to the paper along the seam, but there are no torn or marked pages and good overall color quality.
