This absolutely precious vintage 1945 hardcover first edition of The Golden Songbook was arranged by Katharine Tyler Wessells and illustrated by Gertrude Elliott. The book includes music and lyrics for 64 kid friendly songs paired with darling full color illustrations. The book is in very much used vintage condition with the dust jacket missing, but the front and back cover of the dust jacket was clipped and pasted inside the end pages (though the front cover has become loose and is no longer attached - it is still present). The cloth cover has some discoloration and scribbles along with some wear to the corners. There is a crack that reveals the spine at the front end pages and some discoloration to inner pages, along with some small tears at the inside corner, but there are no large marks or tears and good overall color quality.
