1947 5th Ave - 100 Photographs by Fred Stein
This vintage 1947 hardcover first edition of 5th Ave.: 100 Photographs by Fred Stein is a 1947 photo book documenting post-WWII New York City, featuring black-and-white images of Fifth Avenue. Published by Pantheon Books, it includes commentary by Andy Logan (of The New Yorker) and captures iconic scenes from Washington Square to Harlem. This copy is in used vintage condition with the dust jacket missing and a couple of small spots of discoloration to the cloth cover. There is some minor water damage causing some crinkling to a half inch spot on the top center of the first half of the pages and some water damage to the bottom outside corner (about 1 inch deep) with light staining and waviness to the pages on the second half of the book. There are no marked or torn pages and excellent overall color quality.
