$18.00

This vintage 1964 paperback edition of Try Anything Once by Eric Stanley Gardner writing under the name A.A. Fair is a part of the Bertha Cool - Donald Lam mystery series. It tells the story of when the Lam-Cool partnership is offered $1500 for (Donald) spending the night in a motel room with a beautiful girl. Bertha wants to take it. Donald does not! The pint-sized detective correctly discerns that they are being asked to act as red herrings in a red-hot murder case. Even if nothing else goes wrong, they will be subject forever to threats of blackmail, from the girl, or from the client. But Bertha is large, and can be very persuasive.

The book is in used vintage condition with some wear and creases to the edges of the cover. There is a small tear to the edge of the front end page, but no torn or marked pages and good overall color quality.
