This one of a kind mixed media assemblage is entitled Ode to Spring. It is made from a wooden cigar box that has been painted mauve purple and adorned with a variety of new, vintage and reclaimed items. The centerpiece of the assemblage is a hand woven basket with turquoise roses that is framed by a vintage yellow rabbit toy, and mint green rosette mounted in a gold button. The back of the assemblage features a beaded image of a pink bird holding a yellow flower. Nestled into the scene is also a beaded purple flower, vintage duck brooch, glittery silver flourishes and a vintage door hinge. The front top of the box is adorned with hand beaded pink glass and hematite trim. The top of the piece features a vintage drawer handle.
